New MTC Directors announced including Ottawa Realtor Chris Hoare.
March 15, 2006 - The largest Canadian real estate boards have appointed three Directors to the Canada-wide MLS® and Technology Council. Two of the Directors are new additions to the Council, and one Director has been reappointed. All positions are for a two-year term.

Chris Hoare, a Realtor in the Ottawa Real Estate Board (OREB) who has been a licensed residential salesperson for the past 15 years, has also been appointed to a two-year term. Chris served as a Director with OREB from 1996 to 2000, and again in 2004 and 2005. He was the Board's President in 1999. Chris has served as Chair of a number of task forces and committees, including the Board's MLS® Committee, Internet Task Force, Use of MLS® Data Task Force and Finance Committee. He has also been a member of the Board's Statistics Task Force and MLS® System Renegotiation Task Force.
John DiMichele, the Chief Information Officer with the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) returns to the MTC for another two-year term. He has been a member of the MTC since 2001, and served as Council Chair in 2003. DiMichele joined the real estate profession in 1991 as a salesperson, and volunteered on a number of committees for three real estate Boards as a REALTOR® member prior to joining the staff at TREB in 2002. He currently oversees all aspects of TREB's technology system.
David Corey is the Manager, Operations and Member Service with the Victoria Real Estate Board (VREB). In this capacity, he serves as staff liaison on the Board's MLS® and Computer Services Committee, Finance and Audit Committee, Technology Committee and Board of Directors. Since 1993, Corey has held various Association management positions with VREB. Prior to this, he spent two years as a real estate salesperson and six years in the computer industry.
The terms officially begin at the MTC AGM on March 25th.
