Everyone wants to be successful, not just at work but in life. To that end many of us spend time working hard, spend time with our family, spend time on personal development, spend time renovating the house, etc. This focus is great but it is all taking.
In our house, we were taught at an early age that giving was also important. We were taught not only to donate money but also to donate our time and energy to our neighbours who needed us in the community through local charities. Like many of you, we give to over 50 charities per year through small donations at our door or our office. In addition to that though, we also focus some additional resources to some charities which are close to our hearts.
The links below are charities which we support through various efforts throughout the year. Click on the link to learn more and learn how you can contribute. We donate a portion of the commission from each property we sell to the Foundation. Additionally, we collect clothes and other useful items to donate to the shelters. Many women arrive with only the clothes on their back and must begin their lives again with very little. Clean, gently used modern clothing for women or children is helpful.

The Foundation raises funds by soliciting donations, receiving planned gifts, bequests and grants, and by organizing special events and lotteries.
Anyone with children who have attended CHEO for either minor or major medical problems understands what a significant contribution they make to our community. We donate regularly to them and urge you to support them through direct donations or planned donations. Link to both can be found on their site by simply clicking on their logo on the left..
The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation operates on two levels: our Royal LePage offices across Canada support local women's shelters that provide assistance to women and children fleeing abuse. On a national level we raise funds for violence prevention programs such as The Fourth R, and provide grants in partnership with the Canadian Women's Foundation.
The CHEO Foundation's purpose is "to further the physical, mental and social well-being of children and their families in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec by raising, managing and disbursing funds."
The Canadian Cancer Society is a private non-profit organization, funded by donations from the public and money raised through our fundraising activities. The Canadian Cancer Society would not be able to offer these services or fund important research without the generous help of donors and volunteers.
Anita has been a long time fundraiser for cancer research in Canada. Two years ago she and her son, Tim, raised thousands of dollars by obtaining pledges for a "walk-for-cancer". Their walk... almost 300km along the Camino pilgramage route in Spain!
